D-1 Devastator/Diaclone(?)

I'm back with another piece. This time - D1 Devastator with Hurricane Honey from Cutie Honey as a special guest. Now I know ppl wouldn't know much about this OVA or anything to do with it but after diving into this mysterious OVA, it seems that Takara has something to do with this OVA and for some reason, some elements of this OVA shares the same concept as Diaclone toyline, namely the Car Robots section.

We got alien bugs fighting car robots in another dimension if you go past 300 km/h which is something exceeding that of Back to the Future's 88 mph and breaking that cliche'. I wonder if this OVA was meant to be a reboot of Diaclone at some point considering Takara's hand in this but since not one official stepped up, we'll never know but until then..here's this fun little thing I've been conjuring for years till I finished it recently and you can see me struggling with the lineart considering these designs for the girl's pilot suits were meant for OVA standards. I mean, YEESH!! The detail and precision. The character designer was quite one of those things that stand out though he did make a hentai comic called Gorgon which is a fun time. It's like RPG fantasy but with 3 bumbling sisters. Hilarity ensues.

Character designer's name is Choji Maboroshi whom he's a part of a doujin clique at one point. Check his stuff out.

Unfortunately, most of the character designs I drew here are way below 400 px in terms of width so they have to be seen elsewhere. I'm sorry for that but with what you're seeing, I hope you enjoy it.
